Digital marketing — as in Web and social — is the most prevalent form of marketing today. Every legitimate product or company has a website and a social media presence. Television advertising still has the highest views-per-dollar of any advertising medium, but the starting cost is extremely high and unattainable for many new small businesses.
The great thing about digital is that it can cost as few as zero dollars. That’s cheap. And a relatively small investment in digital marketing goes a lot farther than TV ads.
